Local Missions
​Many years ago, God began stirring in our church a desire to have an eternal impact on our local community. We began to develop relationships with local ministries and look for ways to partner with them to reach our community. Local missions partners provide rich opportunities for our church to impact our neighborhoods and the community of Austin with the love of Christ. Those partnerships provide - for our congregation - hands-on, frontlines engagement with the community so that we can be Jesus’ hands and feet.
There are lots of ways to get involved in Local Missions - as an individual, as a couple, as a family, as a member of an Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF), or a Life Group - whatever makes the most sense for you. We just want to encourage you to dive in and start making a difference in the lives of others, and for God’s Kingdom.

Texas Baptist children's home

Texas Baptist Children’s Home in Round Rock provides a haven of hope for children and families in crisis through its residential programs for children and single-mother families, as well as community-based outreach programs. Partner with BCH to help House Parents mentor children, assist in the HOPE program to adopt and help needy families in the community, and the Single Mothers program to support families in transition.

Canyon Creek Preschool and MOPS (mothers of preschoolers)

​The Canyon Creek Preschool is a Christian preschool - located on the Church at Canyon Creek campus - that serves many families in the area. Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is a support group for moms with children from birth through Pre-K. MOPS provides a welcome break for moms, with the opportunity to connect with others experiencing the unique joy and daily struggles of raising young children. Volunteers are needed to support preschool outreach events and other outreach programs such as MOPS.

austin disaster relief network 

​The Austin Disaster Relief Network is an organization comprised of church, para-church, ministry and business leaders within the Christian community of Greater Austin. Their vision is to serve Christ by establishing a network that meets the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of those affected by disasters. The ADRN has built a communication and volunteer infrastructure in Greater Austin that enables and empowers the body of Christ to organize, mobilize and respond quickly in the event of a disaster - great or small.

Bridges international

Bridges International is a ministry within Cru (formerly Campus Cru sade for Christ) that seeks to reach out to International College Students studying in the U.S. We serve them by connecting them with American families, helping them with their English, and meeting other needs that they may have. Our desire is to send them back to their countries not just with a degree, but with the Lord of the universe directing them in every way. (Church members Russ and Di Zimmerman work with Bridges Internationl full-time.)

impact austin

​This is an outreach of The Church at Canyon Creek Student Ministry aimed at supporting and building relationships with the homeless in downtown Austin. Outreaches include providing meals, hygiene kits, backpacks, coats and other items. This ministry is a great first step for people to get out of their comfort zone. Adults and teens are welcome to participate in this outreach.

partners in hope

​Partners in Hope is an organization that mobilizes the people and resources of the Lake Travis community to serve one family in need at a time, providing hope for a meaningful life on a firm foundation.
This is a ministry that helps families improve their homes through construction, renovation and clean-up, and improve their lives with various other resources.

reveal ministries

​Reveal Ministries is an outreach to needy families in the Northwest quadrant of Greater Austin. It is based out of Hill Country Nazarene Church in Cedar Park. Reveal is a non-profit coalition of churches, assisted by civic organizations and businesses, which provides food, clothing and other services to the needy. Volunteers are needed each week to meet with and assist the 400-plus families that come to this food pantry each Tuesday. Volunteers are also needed Monday mornings for prep.

education connection

​Our church has a new partnership with the Leander ISD called Education Connection where our church volunteers tutor students who are struggling in reading or math, or mentor students who are struggling in school due to life circumstances. Can you carve out just 30 minutes per week to help students at a local elementary school?

Christian Resource Center and Life Bridge Job Corps

Christian Resource Center is a multi-ministry campus that demonstrates and proclaims the gospel by addressing real needs, including child care; job training - computer skills, ESL, GED, work preparation, free professional clothing, and electrical training; auto repair and care training for young men; a community garden; outreach to veterans; outreach to kids who were in juvenile detention; and much more

heart of texas pregnancy resource center

This organization, with centers in East Austin and Dripping Springs, serves women who are pregnant, or think they might be.  They provide free confidential services, free pregnancy tests, free limited ultrasound, individual support to help women work through their situation, a boutique with maternity clothes and baby items, life skills assistance, and many other services.  There are numerous ways for men or women to volunteer to help.
